Vetafarm South American Mix 350g

Formulated to meet the nutritional needs of South American Parrots such as Macaws, Conures and Amazons, for both breeding and companion birds.

Feeding: This product provides nutritional balance for growth, breeding, brain function and optimum feather development when fed at 80% of the total diet. The remaining 20% should consist of a combination of fresh fruits and vegetables (15%) and fresh hand selected nuts (5%) such as almonds, walnuts and macadamias.

The pellets have been extruded for quicker absorption and uptake of nutrients, increased palatability and food safety. South American Mix is made from human grade ingredients grown in Australia with added fresh nuts for stronger palatability.

Suitable for: 

South American birds have some peculiar dietary requirements that are satisfied by the South American Mix. Their protein and amino acid requirements are balanced with the need for adequate fat and ample antioxidants. South American Mix has been designed for the nutritional needs of Macaws, Amazons and Conures, and is also quite suitable for African Greys and Eclectus.

Where the birdkeeper does not wish to feed a total pellet diet, South American Mix may be used as a balanced supplement for birds on a grain diet. By adding the pellets to the soft feed or soaked seeds, the pellets form a balanced supplement that greatly improves any seed based diet.
